Born in the United States and educated in Cairo, Egypt, Yousef grew up in a city layered with history. That shaped how he sees every project: form, function and construction working as one.
Today Barry Design Studio brings that eye to commercial, hospitality and civic spaces across Texas, with a team that can both draw it and build it.

Barry Design Studio is a Texas-based design and build firm for commercial, hospitality, medical, retail, office and civic buildings. The team handles concept design, 3D renders and full BIM construction drawings, and can also manage and build the project as a registered, insured Texas LLC.
The studio meets clients at 4201 Main St, Houston, TX 77002, and takes on projects across Texas, including work at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
Founder Yousef Elbarry leads every project. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture and Environmental Design from AAST in Cairo, RIBA 1 membership, and memberships in the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate and the AIA. Architect associates review each project and stamp drawings whenever required.
Projects include XO Juice & Studio (design and build, 2026), OMG Burger in the Galleria (design and planning, 2024), The Grand Tuscany Hotel porte cochère, formerly a DoubleTree by Hilton (design and build, 2025), the Bauhaus bar and nightclub downtown (design and planning, 2016), construction management for Haii Keii (2025) and Cyclone Anaya's (2023), and design team work on the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral (2018) and Flying Saucer Draught at DFW Airport (2018).
Yes. You can hire the studio for design only, for construction only, or for design and build together, so one team carries the project from the first sketch to opening day.
